Following the overwhelming success of the recording studio learning environment at Progress Music Academy, founders have announced the official launch of Soundworks Birmingham LTD, a brand-new, fully renovated recording studio complex located in the heart of Birmingham’s historic Jewellery Quarter.
Created in response to growing demand, Soundworks Birmingham now operates as its own dedicated studio business, co-owned by Gary Walmsley, (owner of Progress Music Academy), and Goldie Mutta (Music Artist and Actor). Breathing new life into a previously disused building, the new venture builds on the strong reputation established through the academy’s studio programme, expanding it into a professional facility designed for artists at every stage of their musical journey.
Soundworks Birmingham is a welcoming, family-friendly recording studio open to musicians of all ages, abilities, and genres. The studio prides itself on offering a relaxed and inclusive atmosphere where creativity is encouraged, supported, and taken seriously. With a strong focus on personalised service, the team takes time to understand each artist’s vision, ensuring every project receives tailored guidance and professional care.
Backed by more than 50 years of combined music industry experience, the Soundworks team supports clients across all aspects of music production — from first recordings and demos, showreels to fully polished releases.
