Julia is an enthusiastic and vastly experienced piano/keyboard teacher for children and adults and is currently the head piano tutor here at Progress.

She strives to find an individual approach to every student of any experience or ability, providing truly tailored, personalised lessons. Her vast teaching repertoire ranges from Classical music to Popular Music and Julia has extensive experience preparing students for ABRSM or Trinity College London exams.

After obtaining an undergraduate degree in Piano Pedagogy and Performance at the Music Academy of Latvia, she moved to Birmingham where she has completed her Postgraduate degree in Piano Performance at the Birmingham Conservatoire, whilst studying under Pascal Nemirovski - one of the most prominent piano teachers in Europe.

She enjoys performing regularly, as well as participating in masterclasses and music festivals. Julia is able to teach in English, Russian, Latvian and Spanish

Julis hosts regular student showcase/recital events which provide her students with the opportunity to perform to a live audience on a regular basis.
