Laura Salkeld27. June, 2024My daughter started vocal lessons with Tia in Jan '24 and she has worked her magic! Ella has always sang but never had the confidence to sing in front of others. Tia has worked with her on familiar and unfamiliar genres and she was hugely supportive in guiding Ella when compiling her audition recordings, which have led to an offer from a local music college. Tia is so encouraging, patient and kind and has extensive knowledge and experience that makes her lessons feel both professional and fun. The booking system is very user friendly and Gary and Tia always try their best to accommodate any changes if required. We can not recommend them highly enough...so pleased we found you!

They are so professional and organised. It is so easy to book and all of the staff are friendly and welcoming. My daughter has lessons with Tia and the difference in her voice since she started having lessons with her is phenomenal! Tia understands her, understands her voice and what songs will suit her, she pushes her out of her comfort zone with songs she wouldn't usually sing but they sound amazing, she looks after her vocal health, she also supports her emotionally with friendship. Sophie says that when she goes to lessons with Tia, it is like going to lessons with her big sister! Thank you to everyone at progress, especially Tia as Sophie is now becoming more successful at auditions and I know this wouldn't have happen without your support and guidance.
David Grego22. June, 2024Tia is the vocal coach for my two boys. She is always very patient with them and uses her experience and technical skills to extract the best performances from them. The lessons are always fun and very enjoyable. She always provides great individual feedback from each lesson for the boys to review and work on before the next lesson. A very rewarding and beneficial experience for them every time we go. I would highly recommend Tia if you need vocal coaching lessons.

He has taught me how to perform songs relevant to my Trinity Guitar grades and helped me pass them whilst explaining how to play each one in a suitable and appropriate way to aid my learning. Furthermore, he also shows interest in conversations relevant to my tutoring and is open to suggestions on learning songs separate from my grading. Alongside this, he also recognises any mistakes I make to help amend them as well as recommending rests after long periods of learning to ensure that I don’t get exhausted and hinder my musical ability. I believe that Niall has contributed greatly to my improvement at playing the guitar.

June, 2024My kids have been taking piano and guitar lessons with Julia and Niall respectively for a couple of years and often finished their lesson so enthused that I thought I would have a try myself. Camila has been fantastic and very patient while I've tried to find my way around a piano. The kids are progressing well through their grades while I'm really enjoying my more informal lessons. I only wish I'd known of this place earlier.
Anna Turburfield19. June, 2024I started having singing lessons at Progress earlier this year after being 'volunteered' to sing backing vocals in my band (I play sax). I've had no previous personal singing instruction, although I obviously have some musical knowledge from playing the saxophone. My main aim was to try not to sound horrendous but I'm beginning to accept that I can actually sing! My tutor Tia has been exactly right for me; she has taken the time to explain to me the technical points of using my voice in a way I've found very easy to understand and helped me work through any problems I've encountered whilst continuing to encourage and uplift me. I have even been able to listen to a recording of myself singing - amazing! It's been a long time since I had proper lessons in anything (around 20 years!) and I'm enjoying it so much. I would never have achieved what I have so far trying to learn at home on my own. Progress is a great place to learn, very well equipped and set up and the booking system for lessons is very slick. I can't thank Progress, Gary and especially Tia enough for helping me find my voice.

As a complete beginner, she really helped me gain more confidence in myself and encouraged me to try new things. I'd highly recommend to her anyone as she makes her lessons extremely enjoyable!
