Since moving to Birmingham from her native Portugal, Camila is a Royal Birmingham Conservatoire piano student and she has been teaching piano for a number of years. She has experience teaching students of all ages and with different goals and levels of playing skills. As a teacher, she knows that every student is different and that they have different aspirations so she always makes sure to personalise every lesson and tailor it to work effectively towards the skills they want to improve, using a mixture of illustrations and pedagogical material.

For very young piano students, between 5 and 8 years old, Camila has created her own piano book method that is based on her own illustrations, stories and games so the lessons are always engaging and fun!

In her lessons, she covers a variety of very important areas when it comes to piano playing such as the ability of reading music, technique and developing musicality including improvising and composition. She can also prepare students for ABRSM and Trinity Rock and Pop music exams. Camila covers most types of Music such as Classical, Pop & Rock genres.
