Elliott Blackler – Bass & Guitar Tutor

Elliott was born in Devon (UK) and began playing the bass in his early teens. By the age of 17 he was performing across the UK. In his early twenties Elliott studied for a B.A. in Music and a subsequent PGCE at the University of Plymouth. This enabled him to work as a musical arranger, transcriber and music lecturer at colleges in the UK.

Elliott has since toured and recorded extensively throughout the UK, Europe and Australia with a diverse range of musical projects. Elliott’s approach to music is inspired by a wide range of musicians, with notable influence from, Pat Martino, Brad Paisley, Brent Mason, Flea, Jaco Pastorius, Bobby Vega and Cody Wright. Elliott has a unique, solid and energetic performance style which is intertwined with improvisation to create his musical identity. Elliott's first solo album 'Soul Food' will be available soon.

Elliott has taught the guitar, bass and music theory for over 17 years throughout the UK and Australia and is excited to working for Progress Music Academy.
